Sokolský běh republiky - Mníšek pod Brdy

The Sokol Republic Run in Mníšek pod Brdy is an annual celebration of the founding of Czechoslovakia, held on 28 October. The race offers a 5 km adult course passing the Sokol Hall, ponds and Hostinec u Káji Maříka, with the start and finish by the state château. Shorter children’s loops are set on a grassy area and are easy, making them suitable for different age groups. Facilities at the start include registration, changing tents, toilets and refreshments, and parking is free. Every participant receives a race pack and a beautiful medal shaped like the republic at the finish.

The event is run in RACE format, without the need for timing equipment, but finishing times and a winners’ presentation are provided. At the start, there is a registration tent, changing tents, toilets, refreshments and benches. Free parking is available right by the start. The course is asphalt for up to 1 km; the children’s courses are on grass. The start is by the state château, with registration and refreshments on site. Parking is free. The event has no official timekeeper, but all participants receive a medal.
