Ostrava City Marathon

The Ostrava City Marathon is the oldest marathon in the Czech Republic and a summer running festival full of fun for all runners. It takes place on September 6, 2026, in the center of Ostrava at Masaryk Square and offers courses for various performance levels including a mini-marathon, 10 km, half marathon, and marathon. The event is suitable for both competitive runners and hobbyists, and includes a charitable MiniMarathon. In addition to the races, a rich accompanying program is prepared to enliven the city center with sport and culture.

Registration for competitors takes place on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 14:00 to 19:00 and on Sunday, September 6, 2026, from 6:30 to 8:00 at the Ostrava University City Campus. The race time is measured with chip technology embedded in the non-refundable race bibs. Mobile toilets and baggage storage are available at Masaryk Square. Showers and changing rooms are available in the City Campus building. Refreshments are available approximately every 5 km and at the finish line. The start and finish are at Masaryk Square in the center of Ostrava. Men over 70 and women over 60 can register for free for the marathon after obtaining a registration code via email at info@ostravacitymarathon.cz. On-site registration is also possible. The event offers refreshments, showers, medals, and other equipment for participants.
