Silvestrovský běh Karviná

The New Year's Eve Run in Karviná is a traditional road race over 10 km, held annually on December 31st. The route passes through the outskirts of the city with an elevation gain of over 100 meters, presenting a challenge for every runner. The event also includes children's runs in the local forest park on tracks ranging from 200 m to 1.8 km, which are free of charge. Registration and check-in take place at the city stadium, where the entire event is also based. After the race, participants can enjoy refreshments and an award ceremony for medalists in various categories.

Check-in is from 8:30 to 9:45. The children's runs start at 10:05. The main route surface is asphalt road, children's runs take place in the forest park. After the race, refreshments including goulash and tea with the option of rum are provided. Registered athletes register through clubs, unregistered parents can also participate. The race starts at 10:00, children's runs at 10:05. Registration is open until December 28 or 29. The event takes place at the City Stadium and in the forest park.
