Zlatý maraton Emila Zátopka

The Emil Zátopek Golden Marathon is part of Zátopek’s Golden Week, a series of running races held in Plzeň in honour of Emil Zátopek’s Olympic victories. The main marathon takes place on 27 July and also offers accompanying races, including a half marathon, marathon and half-marathon relays, and a 10.5 km road race. The start is in the afternoon in Štruncovy sady and the surrounding area, with a varied programme and categories for men, women, and young people. The race is known for its tradition, high-quality organisation, and welcoming atmosphere for all runners.

The start for marathon runners with an expected finish time of over 5 hours is at 13:00. Registration opens at 12:00; race check-in and bib pickup are in Plzeň at Pallova 19. The entry fee includes a race bib, chip-use fee, refreshments, a commemorative medal, and a T-shirt for marathon runners. Changing rooms and showers are available at the venue. The race offers several distances, online registration, technical and medical support, and has a capacity of approximately 1,000 participants.
