Race description
Čerňák is a trail race along the paths of the Black Forest around Zelená hora and across meadows towards Vysoké. The 7 km route with 180 m of elevation gain features varied terrain, with 90% off-road and 10% asphalt, reminiscent of Scottish fellrunning races. The race is popular with local runners and offers beautiful views of the town of Žďár nad Sázavou and the UNESCO-listed Pilgrimage Church of St John of Nepomuk on Zelená hora. The start and finish are by the car park at the church on Zelená hora. The entry fee goes to a charity fundraiser for a sports prosthesis for student Alex Vondra.
