Žákovský běh Bakovem

The Bakov Student Run is a traditional children’s running race held in Bakov nad Jizerou since 2002. Races take place on the athletics track by the elementary school, where children can run in spiked shoes. There are twelve categories, from preschoolers to juniors, including relays. The event is part of the accompanying program of the Bakov Half Marathon and is known for its friendly atmosphere and for awarding the top runners diplomas, medals, and gifts from sponsors.

Race-day registration takes place in the elementary school’s theatre hall and closes 30 minutes before the start of the relevant category. There is no entry fee. Prizes include diplomas, medals, and small sports items; relay teams receive sweets and gifts from sponsors. The race has moved from the square to the athletics track because the square is being renovated. The race takes place in April 2026, features various distances from 200 m to 1,500 m, and is open to the general public. Entries can be submitted through the website or the race’s Facebook page.
