Vrchlabský 1/2 Maraton

The Vrchlabí City Half Marathon is the first edition of a half marathon held in the heart of the Krkonoše Mountains, at T. G. Masaryk Square in Vrchlabí. During the race, participants will enjoy a sporting challenge on paved roads and field and forest paths, as well as a cultural programme and a friendly atmosphere. In addition to the main half marathon, shorter 2 km and 9 km routes are available for children, juniors and families with children, taking them through the town and its side streets. The event brings together running, experiences and community, and is co-financed by the State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic.

The 2 km race starts at 13:00, with age categories 7–9, 10–12 and 13–15. The half marathon (21.1 km) starts at 15:00, with age categories 18–29, 30–39, 40–49 and 50+. Parking is available in the town centre; some car parks charge a fee, while others are free. The larger car park near the monastery is temporarily closed. The car park by the cultural centre is recommended; it is within a 10-minute walk of the square.
