ŠumpeRUN

ŠumpeRUN is a popular urban running race held through the historic centre of Šumperk. The eighth edition will offer races for the general public, including the 10 km main race, a 3.33 km race, relay races for teams of three, and children’s races over various distances. The event promotes a healthy lifestyle and community spirit while celebrating the city’s cultural heritage. For 2026, a varied programme of activities is planned, including group warm-ups and music along the course.

Registration opens on 1 June 2026. Entry to the children’s races is free. Group warm-ups led by professional instructors will take place before the children’s races (10:30) and the adult races (14:00). There will be music along the course from a DJ or live band. The start and finish are at Svobody Square, near Hotel PERK and the Business Academy. Capacity is 350 runners for the main race, 100 runners for the 3 km race, 50 relay teams and 100 children in each age category. The event is aimed at the general public, offers a range of categories and makes results available online. It is part of the local sports calendar and promotes an active lifestyle.
