Sokolský běh republiky - Lužice

The Sokol Republic Run in Lužice is a traditional race held on October 28 to celebrate the founding of Czechoslovakia. The race is run without mandatory timekeeping; participants receive a starter pack and a beautiful republic-shaped medal at the finish. The main race course is 7.3 km long and runs along roads, paved farm tracks and through a vineyard, past the railway line and Lužák Pond. Shorter children’s courses of 0.2, 0.5 and 1 km are laid on paved surfaces. The race facilities are at the Sokol Hall complex, with changing rooms, showers, toilets and refreshments available.

The starter pack includes a race number and gifts from the organizers and partners. All participants receive a republic-shaped medal at the finish. Facilities at the Sokol Hall complex include changing rooms, toilets, showers and refreshments. Parking is available at the car park by the Sports Hall, approximately 500 m from the complex. Children can enjoy sports activities and games at the venue. Time may be recorded manually or with a timing system, but timekeeping is not mandatory.
