Race description
The Sokol Race of the Republic in Louňovice pod Blaníkem is a traditional event held on October 28th to celebrate the founding of Czechoslovakia. The main course measures 5.6 km and passes through the natural and historical beauty of Malý Blaník, including the highest point with the Chapel of Mary Magdalene. The race is part of the Běžec Podblanicka running series and offers a starter pack, a medal in the shape of the republic, and a raffle for participants of the main race. The start and finish are at the square in front of the castle in Louňovice pod Blaníkem. In addition to the main race, there are also children's courses of 0.4 km, 0.8 km, and 1.3 km.
