Race description
The Sokol Race of the Republic in Dolní Újezd is a traditional race held on October 28th to celebrate the founding of Czechoslovakia. The main course measures 8.9 km and runs partly along the Desná stream, across fields and the outskirts of the village, with a combination of asphalt and paved forest and field paths. There are also courses for children measuring 1.4 km, which run along asphalt roads and residential areas. The facilities at the Sokol hall offer a start package, refreshments, changing rooms, and parking, and a beautiful medal in the shape of the republic awaits all finishers.
