SKYRUN – DLOUHÉ STRÁNĚ

SKYRUN - DLOUHÉ STRÁNĚ is a challenging 22 km individual race with 820 m of elevation gain, running from Kouty nad Desnou to the crest of the upper reservoir of the Dlouhé Stráně pumped-storage power plant and back. The route combines unpaved roads, paved roads and trails, and runners can enjoy unique views of the Jeseníky Mountains and the power plant’s engineering works. The race takes place at the transition between the winter and summer seasons, creating a distinctive atmosphere and challenges, including the possibility of snow on the course. The Kouty nad Desnou resort offers full facilities, including restaurants, accommodation and parking right by the start and finish.

Each runner receives a GPS locator, which must remain active throughout the race. Check-in consists of collecting the race packet, which includes a cable car voucher. Trekking poles are permitted on the course; other assistance is prohibited. Support is permitted only in the designated Support zone, using your own bottle. The organizer provides the route in map and GPX formats. The race bib must be clearly attached to the front of the runner. The race includes trail and road sections; registration is available. The race takes place on 16 May 2026, and the course includes a climb to a technically challenging location with support at the summit.
