SILESIA kros 1/2marathon ZRUŠENO

SILESIA Cross 1/2 Marathon is a traditional cross-country running race held in Opava-Kylešovice, with its hub at the U Chovatelů grounds. The race offers 21 km and 13 km courses that pass through scenic locations such as Raduň, Vršovice, Chvalíkovice, Hradec nad Moravicí, Branka and Opava. The course is challenging and partly follows roads open to traffic. Participants must follow fair-play rules and respect nature. Times are recorded electronically without chips, and the awards ceremony takes place at the finish area. The 2026 race has been cancelled, but information about previous editions and courses is available.

Race-day registration takes place at the race centre on Friday from 17:00 to 19:00 and on Saturday from 7:30 to 9:00. The start is at the sports field behind the primary school in Raduň, and the finish is at the U Chovatelů grounds in Opava-Kylešovice. The race takes place on roads open to traffic, and participants run at their own risk. Times are recorded electronically without chips. Because there are few entrants in the shorter races, the 750 m, 1,500 m, 3 km and 5 km races start directly at the finish area. The course is marked year-round, with additional temporary markings and course marshals provided for race day. From 1 October 2025, entry fees increase to 350 CZK for 21 km, 250 CZK for 13 km and 150 CZK for the shorter distances. If the entry fee is paid by 26 September, participants can have their name printed on their race number. Registration usually takes place in October. The event offers various distances and is known for its distinctive cross-country terrain. In the past, course changes have been made because of private property.
