Olympijský běh - Červená Lhota

The Olympic Run in Červená Lhota is a traditional race starting at the fairytale-like Červená Lhota Château. Runners follow the blue hiking trail through Samosoly and Pohoří and across the dam of Kardaš Pond, mostly on farm and forest roads. The race is ceremonially started with a shot from a historic firearm. By taking part, you support the Czech Olympic Foundation. The race is for adults over 15 and offers a pleasant sporting atmosphere, with refreshments provided by volunteer firefighters.

The start and finish are in different locations: the start is at Červená Lhota Château, and the finish is in Kardašova Řečice by the cider press. Runners are transported by bus from the registration venue (the cider press in Kardašova Řečice) to the start. Changing facilities, a bag drop and toilets are available; there are no showers. Refreshments are provided by volunteer firefighters. The château’s castellan starts the race with a shot from a historic firearm. Registration is online only; on-site registration is not available. The race is open to runners over 15; younger participants are not permitted to start at this location. Timing is by chip.
