Lesempolem

Lesempolem is a traditional running race held in the picturesque village of Veselice in the South Moravian Region. It offers three distances—14 km, a marathon (42 km), and an ultramarathon (84 km)—run mainly on forest and field paths around the Podvrší lookout tower, offering beautiful views and a chance to run in nature. The race is suitable for all runners, from amateurs to experienced athletes, and the marathon is part of the Blansko District Running League. The start and finish are at the sports complex in Veselice, where a varied programme, refreshments, and a friendly atmosphere await runners and spectators.

The start and registration are at the cultural centre in Veselice, with parking about 200 m from registration. Refreshments are available on site (water, tea, sports drinks, fruit, and traditional Loštice spread), and participants can store their own refreshments. Spectators can enjoy a cultural programme, a bar, and children’s races. Overnight accommodation is available in the cultural centre for a nominal fee; bring your own sleeping bag. The marathon is part of the Blansko District Running League. The races take place around Veselice in the Moravian Karst, with an emphasis on a family atmosphere and socialising.
