Jistebnický vodohospodářský půlmaraton

The Jistebník Water Management Half Marathon is a traditional running event now being held for the sixteenth year in the picturesque landscape on the edge of the Poodří Protected Landscape Area. Races range from 3.6 km to a marathon, including relays and a children’s Olympics, and both start and finish at the TJ Jistebník sports complex. The routes pass through nature, with beautiful views of the Beskydy Mountains, and run between the villages of Jistebník, Polanka nad Odrou and Klimkovice. The event also features a varied accompanying program and is suitable for a wide range of runners and families with children.

The start and finish of all races are at the TJ Jistebník sports complex. Registration opens at 7:00 and closes 20 minutes before the start of each race. Refreshments are available on the course, and one of the refreshments is included in the entry fee at the finish. Trying the Marathon Soup at the local pub is recommended. Parking is available near the complex and along the main road; using train and bus connections is ideal. The event also includes a children’s Olympics and an accompanying program from 10:00 to 15:00. Blood and blood plasma donors receive a 50% discount on the entry fee upon proof of their most recent donation. The course runs through natural areas, the event includes multiple race categories and children’s activities, and it takes place in May 2026.
