Jistebnický VH maraton

The Jistebník Water Management Half Marathon is a traditional running race, now being held for the sixteenth year in the picturesque landscape on the edge of the Poodří Protected Landscape Area. It offers routes ranging from 3.6 km to a marathon, running through nature with beautiful views of the Beskydy Mountains. The start and finish of all races are at the TJ Jistebník sports complex, which also hosts a varied programme of side events, including a children’s Olympics. The race is suitable for the general public, including children and young people, and is known for its friendly atmosphere and high-quality organisation.

Registration for all races opens at 7:00 and closes 20 minutes before the start of the relevant race. The start and finish are at the TJ Jistebník sports complex. There are refreshments on the course; at the finish, one of the course refreshment stations is available, and additional refreshments are offered by the local pub, known for its Marathon Soup. Parking is available near the complex, though using train or bus connections is recommended. Changing rooms and showers are available after the race. Blood and blood plasma donors receive a 50% discount on the entry fee upon proof of their most recent donation. The races take place in a natural setting and offer various route distances, including children’s categories and a side programme. Online registration is available.
