Jesenický maraton

The Jeseníky Marathon is a legendary and challenging mountain marathon in the Czech Republic, held in the Jeseníky Mountains since 2009. The marathon and half-marathon follow the same course each year, but changeable weather and mountain terrain make it feel different every time. Runners follow the ridges of forested mountains, passing springs, primeval forests, stone fields and peat bogs, creating a unique atmosphere and challenge. The Jeseníky Marathon is intended for experienced endurance runners who want to conquer the highest mountain range in Moravia and Silesia.

The race is limited to 700 runners. The time limit for completing the marathon is 6 hours and 30 minutes. Refreshments are available at several stations, with water, isotonic drinks, fruit and energy foods. Hot food and drinks can be purchased at the finish. Runners with a valid registration by 30 June 2026 will receive a T-shirt unless they choose otherwise. The organizer may cancel the race in the event of adverse weather, without compensation for damages. The course is mountainous, with refreshments at two stations, free parking, free bus transport from the start, a time limit and an age limit of 18+.
