Husínský kros

Husínský Cross-Country is a traditional spring running race in Tajanov near Klatovy, established as a replacement for the cancelled Klatovská patnáctka. The race has been held since 2012 and is part of the prestigious Ešus League series. Men run three laps, while women and girls run two. Each lap is approximately 3.6 km and follows mostly forest trails, with a section of smooth asphalt. In recent years, the course has returned to its original, longer route around the perimeter of Husín Forest. The chief referee is running legend Vlastík Zwiefelhofer.

The race is part of the Ešus League series, which reaches its 42nd edition in 2026 and comprises 22 races. Men run 10.5 km (3 laps); women and men over 70 run 7 km (2 laps). The start is by the volleyball courts in Tajanov. The organiser is Jiří Přibík (tel. 608279305). The race is part of the prestigious Ešus League series and was also held virtually in the past because of the pandemic. The event attracts a wide range of participants and has a long tradition in the region.
