Chlum třikrát jinak

Chlum Three Ways is the fourth race in the Moving Lookout Towers series, held near Plzeň. Runners tackle the prominent summit of Chlum in three ways: a mass-start uphill run, an interval hill climb, and a climb up the steps to the lookout tower. The overall ranking is based on the combined times from all three events, with bonuses for the top three places. Ten age categories are offered for children, with courses around the lookout tower. A relay race is also available, with teams of three runners completing all three disciplines.

The race office is in a tent by the lookout tower at the summit of Chlum, open from 9:00 to 11:00. The uphill run starts at 11:45, the interval hill climb at 12:20, and the lookout tower stair climb at 12:45. Children’s races start at 10:00. Relay teams consist of 3 runners, each running one discipline; they start together with the individual competitors. After 20 competitors have completed the stair climb, there is a 2-minute break for descent. Items left at the start can be transported to the finish by the organizers’ car. Competitors must make their own way to the start. The race includes off-road sections, children’s categories, family relays, and registration and parking are available.
