Benešovská osmička

Benešovská osmička is a traditional cross-country race in Benešov u Semil, held for more than half a century. The race offers courses for the whole family, from preschool children to veterans, with the main 8,000-meter race running through the picturesque countryside around the village and along the slopes of Benešov Hill. The start and race facilities are at the sports complex in Horní Benešov. Prizes are awarded, and light refreshments are available for all participants and spectators.

Registration and check-in take place at the start venue from 12:30, no later than 15 minutes before the start of each category. The race is divided into categories: preschool children (50 and 100 m), youth (400–1,200 m), juniors, women, men, and veterans (2,250 m and 8,000 m courses). The first three finishers in each category receive prizes. Light refreshments are available for participants and spectators. Courses from 50 m to 8 km, a family event, refreshments, prizes.
