Běh rodným krajem Emila Zátopka

The Emila Zátopka Running Race through his native land is a traditional event dedicated to the legacy of the famous Olympian Emil Zátopek, held regularly on the Saturday closest to his birthday, September 19. The race starts in his hometown of Kopřivnice at the Emil Zátopek statue and finishes at the Wallachian Open-Air Museum in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm after a challenging 22.3 km course with a hilly profile. The race is open to participants aged 15 and older and also offers accompanying runs for children and the public. After the race, a ceremonial award ceremony takes place with the participation of prominent guests.

There are three refreshment stations and one hydration station along the route. The race takes place with full road traffic. The time limit is 3 hours from the start, with an intermediate cut-off at 1:20 hours in Veřovice. Changing rooms are available at the Cultural House in Kopřivnice and at the Wallachian Open-Air Museum in Rožnov. Belongings are transported by bus to the finish line. The organizer provides bus transportation from Rožnov to the start and back after the race. Accommodation at the Stadion Hotel in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm is available at the runner's expense. Participants under 18 require parental consent. The event also includes accompanying runs for children and the public. The route includes asphalt and forest paths, registration is required, team and relay races are available, transportation and accommodation are arranged, and prizes are awarded.
