Běh pro Paměť národa - Olomouc

The Run for the Memory of the Nation in Olomouc is a sporting and community event held in support of the nonprofit organization Post Bellum, which documents the stories of witnesses. The race takes place on 23 May 2026 in Smetana and Čech Gardens and offers timed 5 km and 10 km races and a 4 × 2.5 km relay, as well as untimed children’s and family runs. The start and finish are by the collection greenhouses in Smetana Gardens. The event is suitable for all ages and celebrates heroism and freedom.

Pupils, students under 18, members of the Friends of the Memory of the Nation Club, and runners over 65 receive a 50% discount on the entry fee. Changing rooms, a baggage drop, sanitary facilities, and water at the finish are available. The accompanying programme includes stalls with games for children, a relaxation and science zone run by Palacký University, workshops, and prize competitions. Race numbers are distributed during check-in on race day. The event includes refreshments, water, a family- and child-friendly programme, and supports remembrance of the past and the fight for freedom.
