Race description
The Run Across the Republic is a unique event that brings runners from all corners of the Czech Republic together at a shared finish in Čihošť, the geographical centre of the Czech Republic. It is not a race, but a group run with pacers who maintain a conversational pace and guide the route. The routes are divided into sections, which participants can choose freely and run as many of as they like. The event offers a chance to discover new places, meet new friends and enjoy the beauty of the Czech countryside across varied terrain.
Highlights
- Routes lead from Liberec, Pohoří na Šumavě, Prostějov and Rokycany to Čihošť
- The routes cover a total of 782.9 km, divided into 82 sections
- The pace is suited to recreational runners, averaging 6:00 min/km and slowing to 7:00 min/km on selected sections
Additional information
This is not a race; runners travel in groups with pacers according to a schedule. Refreshments and support services are available along the sections, including transport to the next relay point, subject to capacity. On Sunday at 17:00, all routes finish together in Čihošť.
