Běh napříč republikou

The Run Across the Republic is a unique relay event, now taking place for the fifth year. Participants run together from different parts of the Czech Republic to its geographical centre in Číhošť. The pace is suited to recreational runners and is conversational. The routes are divided into individual sections, each with pacers who ensure the right pace and guide the way. This is not a race, but a shared experience that offers a chance to discover new places and meet other runners.

Participants run together at a conversational pace, with pacers on every section. The pace is suited to recreational runners: around 6 min/km on flat stretches and slower in the hills. On selected sections, the pace is reduced to 7 min/km so occasional runners can join in. Refreshments are provided at handover points, along with a support vehicle and participant transport subject to capacity. The route is not marked; participants follow the schedule and run with pacers. Everyone finishes together in Číhošť on Sunday at 17:00. Multiple start locations, approximately 867 km in total, group runs with pacers, no official timing, open participation, varied terrain from city streets to trails, and a relay format with a predetermined schedule.
