Barokomaraton

The Barokomaraton is the 19th edition of a cross-country race held in the picturesque surroundings of the town of Plasy and the Střela River valley. The race is for experienced runners as well as those who run for enjoyment and want to take in the beautiful autumn scenery. Runners can expect routes along forest and field paths, with regular aid stations. The organizers are also preparing a cultural program, entertainment for children, and refreshments, making the Barokomaraton an enjoyable day of sport and relaxation for the whole family.

Race registration takes place at the Velká Louka venue in Plasy on 4 September from 18:00 to 20:30 (until 23:30 for the ultra) and on 5 September from 7:30 to 9:20. The time limit is 6 hours for the marathon and 16 hours for the 100 km ultra. Running with a dog (canicross) is prohibited. Runners are encouraged to bring their own collapsible cup for use at the aid stations; a limited number of cups will be available for purchase on site. Team relay entries are available for teams of three on the 10 km, half-marathon, and marathon routes. Races include various distances, including the 100 km ultra, and are suitable for runners of all levels. The event also offers cultural and accompanying activities, including an expo and entertainment for children.
